How do I add custom fields to my products?

Customise your products with text fields, dropdowns, checkboxes, multi select, date select and policy acceptance fields.

Once you have created your product as detailed here you can add custom fields to gather more specific information (e.g.: Initials, Gear Size, Address etc.)


Adding Custom Fields

Provided you have the required admin access for managing products you can add custom fields to products you have created.

  1. Login to the ClubZap Admin portal via clubzap.com/signin

  2. Select the Products -> Products on the left hand menu.

  3. From the Current Live Products List, click on the Product Name you want to add custom fields for.

  4. In the Custom Fields section Add Field.

5. Select the field type you wish to add

6. Assign a Field Label to your custom field. (e.g.: Jersey Size)

7. Select the Field type from the available list as follows:

  • Single Line Text

  • Multi Line Text

  • Dropdown

  • Checkbox

  • Multiselect

  • Radio Buttons

  • Policy Acceptance

  • Date Select

8. If the custom field is a mandatory field on your form check the box identified above by - Is this a required input field?

The following is an example of all the custom fields available and how they appear on the product form.


How to Edit or Delete a Custom Field

  1. Select the Products -> Products Link on the left hand menu.

  2. On the Product Name column click on the name of the product you wish to customise.

  3. On the Required field section click on Edit Field or Delete.


How to Reorder your custom fields

Once you have added your custom fields you can reorder at any stage to alter how they appear on the product form.

  1. Select the Products -> Products Link on the left hand menu.

  2. On the Product Name column click on the name of the product you wish to customise.

  3. In the required Fields section you will see a list of the custom fields you previously created. Click and hold the left click your mouse and drag the custom field you want to move up or down the list.
