How to personalise your notification controls

Manage your notifications for Club News, Results and Chat messages and troubleshoot with sending test notifications.

Push notifications are clickable, pop-up messages sent by an app to your mobile device. They're designed to grab user attention and convey important messages โ€” even when the app isn't open.

There are countless benefits of push notifications. They increase open rates, keep users engaged, drive user retention, and ultimately enhance the user experience.

The ClubZap app enables users to customise their own experience on what push notifications they wish to receive.


How to customise your push notifications experience

If you would like to customise the push notifications you are receiving you can manage this for each of the clubs you follow as detailed here:

  1. Open the ClubZap App

  2. Click on the Settings (Cog) icon

  3. Click on the Push Notifications

  4. Click on the Club you cant to manage notifications for.

The following Notifications can be managed:

Daily Updates: Highlight notifications for games, news and lotto activity. These notifications are delivered twice a day provided content has not already been read. More info on delivery schedule for push notifications here

Chat: Allows notifications to inform you about received messages

Events: Allow notifications for invites to an event and updates

Results: Full Time Score / Event Updates - these can be managed on a per team basis.


How to send a test notification to yourself

If you are experiencing issues in receiving push notifications you can send yourself a test notification via the notifications screen.

  1. Open the ClubZap App

  2. Click on the Settings (Cog) icon

  3. Click on the Push Notifications

  4. Click on Send Test Notification

The following message will appear provided you have your notifications enabled. If you did not receive the test notification check you have notifications enabled as detailed here


How to disable all push notifications on ClubZap

  1. Open the ClubZap App

  2. Click on the Settings (Cog) icon

  3. Click on the Push Notifications

  4. To turn OFF all Push Notifications toggle the Allow Push Notifications to OFF. This setting is enabled by default.

Note: It is not recommended to turn off notifications as you will miss out on important notifications around group chat (event invites), club news and match results.


How to enable all push notifications on ClubZap

  1. Open the ClubZap App

  2. Click on the Settings (Cog) icon

  3. Click on the Push Notifications

  4. To turn ON all Push Notifications toggle the Allow Push Notifications to ON. This setting is enabled by default.

Note: It is recommended to have Push Notifications always enabled to get the best user experience from the app.


How to enable/disable In App Feedback

In-app feedback is a system that allows users to provide feedback on their experience with the app while using it. It can be done by writing a review, rating the app, suggesting a new feature, or giving a thumbs up or down. This helps our development team and product managers see what are popular features and what are not.

  1. Open the ClubZap App

  2. Click on the Settings (Cog) icon

  3. Click on the Push Notifications

  4. To turn OFF In App Feedback toggle the In-App to OFF. To turn ON In App Feedback toggle the In-App to ON. This setting is enabled by default.

Note: It is recommended to leave the default value of enabled for In-App Feedback. This is an integral tool for our team in ensuring the features we release are providing the best functionality possible for the end user.


Notifications are enabled on my ClubZap app but I'm still not receiving them

If you have checked that notifications are enabled on your ClubZap app and have sent yourself a test notification successfully then the next thing to check is the Notifications Settings on your phones operating system.
