How can I change the card associated with a payment?

Send an email to the payer to update their card details

Update Card Details via Stripe Dashboard

  1. Login to the ClubZap Admin Portal via clubzap.com/signin

  2. Go to the Memebrship -> Memebrship Sales or Products -> Product Sales screen and search for the payer

  3. Click on the payer name and scroll down to the Customer link in the Stripe Details section

  4. Click on the customer link to open Stripe Dashboard

  5. Go to the Subscription details page for the customer's subscription.

  6. Click the Actions menu.

  7. Select Share payment update link via a sharable link or email to the customer.

Update Card details via ClubZap Admin Portal

When a payer has requested to change the card details associated with an ongoing subscription you as an administrator can initiate an email to this person with a link to setup their new card details ensuring the payment will continue.

  1. To begin the process login to the ClubZap admin portal and select the Membership link from the left hand menu.

  2. Select the option for Membership Sales

  3. Search for the name of the person you has requested the change.

  4. In the payments section click on the button identified by 3 horizontal dots to reveal a sub menu.

  5. Select the Cancel Subscription option which will result in no further payments taken form the existing card.

  6. When the payment is in a cancelled state you can restart the payment by clicking the buttons similar to what's highlighted in this screenshot below.

  7. Click on the Restart Subscription option to initiate an email to that persons email address. the email received will include a link to update their card details.
