Transferring a .com or .ie website address
If your club has an existing domain name (e.g: www.yourclubname.com) and you would like to keep this domain name but point it to the new ClubZap website being offered you will need to provide our support@clubzap.com team with the EPP (Authorisation code) to begin the process of transferring your domain to ClubZap.
The club will still own the domain name and can transfer it out at any stage if they wish. As part of the domain name management will will also provide DNS management, website hosting (ClubZap website template) and provide an SSL cert to ensure your website is secure.
Transferring a .co.uk domain name
For transferring .co.uk domain names, an EPP code (also known as an authorization or auth code) is not required. Instead, these domains are transferred using a system that relies on changing the IPS tag associated with the domain.
Stage 1 - Completed by ClubZap Support team
Log into DNSimple and click on Add a Domain.
Select transfer a domain.
Press Transfer Domain
Select a registrant and fill in any extended attributes.
Press Transfer Domain
Stage 2 - Completed by your current registrar
To complete the transfer of a .UK
or .CO.UK
domain, you must change the domain’s IPS TAG at your current domain registrar. Your registrar may allow you to do this through their website, or you may need to contact them via email or phone.
Request the change of the IPS TAG to KEY-SYSTEMS-DE
. This is case-sensitive, so make sure the IPS TAG is in all capital letters.
Once you’ve authorized the transfer, you may have to wait up to 48 hours for the transfer to complete.
